Its gasket ensures proper extraction of your coffee grind, sealing the temperature and flow of steaming water down into the filter basket. This part too is designed to complement the design of the Six coffee maker by seamlessly integrating with its filter basket and thermos jug. The unique heat shield completely surrounds the showerhead during brewing, preserving the heat and giving you a properly hot cup of coffee, while staying within the accepted standards of coffee brewing. The coffee is usually 93 degrees at the end of the brewing cycle. For those who prefer their coffee really hot, or who add a lot of milk, the heat shield is a great brewing accessory.
