Clean your coffee machine regularly. We explain how and why. Brewing coffee means extracting lots of delicious flavors from roasted coffee, but it also creates a lot of oil residue that can build up over time. On top of that, minerals in your water supply can leave behind an unsightly coating. We therefore recommend that you descale your machine every 3-4 weeks. You can also easily clean your coffee maker with vinegar. See below how to do it (NOTE! The product in the picture is no longer available, you can use another descaling agent, and follow the instructions on the specific product).

Clean your coffee maker with vinegar
- Add 295 ml vinegar and 890 ml cold water.
- Start a brewing cycle.
- Halfway through the cycle, turn off the coffee maker and leave it for 30 minutes.
- After 30 minutes, turn on the coffee maker and let the brewing cycle finish.
- Let the machine cool down for 10-15 minutes.
- Pour out the vinegar mixture and fill the water tank with new water (no vinegar). Run a new brew cycle. Repeat once more to rinse through thoroughly. Rest between each cycle.
